Jamshedpur: Team Iron Making thrashed Shared Services by 14-2 in the final to win the Inter Divisional Basketball Championship organised by Tata Steel sports department for lady employees on 16th October at Basketball Court, JRD Tata Sports Complex. For the third place Flat Products beat HRM by 8-0.
This was the completion of fifth event of Inter Divisional Championship of 2019 – 2020 season in women category. Out of 21 units, 8 units including Shared Services, Iron Makings, Long Products, Flat Products, OMQ (Noamundi), General Offices, HRM and ISWPL participated.
Chief Guest for the prize distribution function was Jaya Singh Panda, Chief (TQM & CQA), Tata Steel. T Vasudev Rao, Rakesh Mahato, Ravi Rao and Sajjad Khan were the officials and conducted the entire matches of the above championships.
On the occasion Unit Representatives, Tejindera Singh, Sandip Bhowmick, Subhojeet, R K Mishra, Tilak Ram and Sanjay Mishra were present.
