Tata Workers Union Chief Sanjeev Choudhary briefs INTUC national president on union, industry affairs
Jamshedpur, Aug 25: Dr G. Sanjeeva Reddy, president of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (Intuc), arrived in Jamshedpur to attend the two-day meeting of INTUC’s Indian National Steel, Metal, MetalMines and Engineering Employees Federation. He was accorded a grand welcome at Sonari Airport by Tata Workers Union (TWU) President Sanjeev Choudhary ‘Tunnu’ and union members.
Choudhary briefed the national leader about the current situation of the union and the industry. Reddy appreciated the functioning of the Tata Workers Union, praising its leadership for running the union efficiently in line with present-day challenges.
Senior Congress leader and MP Tariq Anwar also reached the city to participate in the meeting, which is expected to discuss key issues concerning workers in the steel and metal sector.
