Jamshedpur/Joda : Tata Steel celebrated International Youth Day 2016 at Joda West Auditorium, Joda on August 12, 2016. The theme for this year`s International Youth Day was �The road to 2030: Eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable consumption and production�.
On this occasion, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) organized a program to orient local youths about �Entrepreneurship Development�, �Cyber Crime� and facilities provided through �Jan Seva Kendra�.
Mukesh Ranjan, Chief Joda, Shirish Shekhar, Chief Khondbond Iron Mine, C R Patnaik, State Head, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Manoranjan Bishi, Sub Inspector, Joda and Satya Narayan Nanda, Head, TSRDS joined as dignitaries on the occasion and inaugurated the program by lighting of lamp.
Mukesh Ranjan advised youths to be hard-working and connect themselves with the process of development and growth of this region. Shirish Shekhar said that the contribution of youths is important to build a progressive society.
On the occasion, ten youths from Joda were felicitated for their commendable work on Dengue sensitization in Joda and nearby areas. More than 200 youths and students from Joda and Youth Resource Centres built under CSR Project RISHTA participated in this program.
All the youths present in this program lauded the efforts of Tata Steel to create awareness on various youth related development schemes and developing entrepreneurship among them.
