Jamshedpur: Jharkhand State Khadi Gramodyog Board member Kulwant Singh Bunty has demanded installation of a statue of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel in the Postal Park at Bistupur. He said a statue of Sardar Patel built at an expense of Rs 6 lakh borne by the MP should be installed in the Postal Park. He said the statue was built in Jaipur.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Bunty said the installation should be done without delay. He said Jamshedpur is known for its iron and steel all over the world and Sardar Patel is also known as ‘the Iron Man of India’. Hence the installation of Sardar Patel’s statue is justified, he said.
Bunty said Sardar Patel is a symbol of India’s national unity. He said Chief Minister Raghubar Das is also trying to follow in the footsteps of Sardar Patel and ensure Jharkhand’s overall development.
