Inner Wheel Zest celebrates I-Day with special kids

Jamshedpur, Aug. 16: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur Zest celebrated 71st Independence Day with children of Jeevika (an NGO run for disabled handicapped kids) and CRPF’s 157th Battalion in Adityapur camp.

On the occasion Commandant RK Panda addressed the gathering with his motivational speech.

He said, ‘We believe that 15th August and 26th January always inspires us to contribute even more vigorously, to make this country better place to live.

Here betterment, we are expecting in terms of Law and order, basic infrastructure, Health and hygiene, Self security, Educational facility, Technological growth and course, more balanced, mature and considerate mindsets’.

After the official march commandant RK Panda hosted the national flag. Cultural event was organised by polytechnic college students.

On the occasion, club members thought of making the wonder kids though they are physically handicapped and challenged to work independently and earn for their family and for livelihood.

At the event the club members donated 100 thick brown sheets and 2kg Fevicol to Jeevika to make paper bags to help avoid use of plastic bags.

Keeping hygiene and sanitation in consideration the club also donated 3 bottles of phenyl to Jeevika kids.

Members of the club who were the part of the celebration were President Navneet Kaur, Amrita Vakharia, Preeti Khara and Tripti Singh.
