Inner Wheel club members plant saplings

Jamshedpur, July 18: Members of Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur, clad in green, planted trees around the perimeters of Picnic Spot, Jubilee Park and Animal enclosure inside the Tata Zoo on Tuesday.

The programme was sponsored by Mrs. Prerna Todi, Convenor of the Environment projects. 25 saplings of fruits and flowers were planted in picnic spot area and 25 saplings of Bamboo were planted in the animal enclosure inside the zoo.

Biologist cum Education Officer of the zoo, Dr. Seema Rani, who has been constantly supporting this programme came up with this idea and urged the members to launch the drive.

Members of the club present were President Alokananda Bakshi, PP Jaishree Goyal, Secretary Suman Khemka, Editor Manju Rani Singh, Convenors Neelakshi Jaiswal and Prerna Todi.

President Alokananda Bakshi, said, this small initiative will help in protecting our environment and making our country a greener place to live in.
