Inefficiency of energy minister led to power crisis: Abhay Singh

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leader Abhay Singh today alleged that the failure of the state energy minister Rajendra Prasad Singh had led to power crisis in the state. He said the people of Jharkhand were bearing the brunt of the power crisis due to the inefficiency and inaction of the minister.

Singh said the JVM activists would be gheraoing the office of the general manager of Jharkhand State Electricity Board at Bistupur on 11th June. He said no department official will be allowed to enter the GM office. He was speaking to scribes at the JVM office at Kasidih on Saturday.

He said former MP of Jamshedpur and party member Dr Ajoy Kumar will be taking part in the dharna programme in the city. Dr Kumar had gone to New Delhi after losing to BJP�s Vidyut Varan Mahato in the Lok Sabha election.

Singh alleged that the energy ministers of several state governments had led the state to a crisis situation through various scams.

He said the MLA of Jamshedpur East Raghuvar Das too, had failed to provide electricity supply to the people of his Assembly constituency. He said a CBI probe should be conducted into the scams.
