Jamshedpur, July 8: BJP leader Kamlesh Sahu was brutally assaulted in the Sitaramdera police station area on Sunday evening. Injured, he has been admitted to TMH. Kamlesh Sahu is the nephew of Odisha Governor Raghubar Das. Upon learning of the incident, DSP Bhola Prasad Singh and several other officers rushed to the scene and admitted Kamlesh to the hospital. Kamlesh Sahu has accused Braj Kishore, alias Bunty Singh, of Jumbo Akhara of orchestrating the attack.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV, and the police are investigating. Due to the seriousness of the matter, police forces have been deployed in Bhalubasa.
According to reports, Kamlesh Sahu and his companions went to Braj Kishore’s house. There, Kamlesh was verbally abused by Braj Kishore and others. Initially, the situation was diffused by mediating between both parties.

However, Kamlesh Sahu returned with his companion shortly after and a fight ensued. Kamlesh was kicked, punched, and seriously injured. DSP Bhola Prasad Singh and other police officers arrived at the scene, and Kamlesh was extricated with great difficulty. During the rescue, local residents scuffled with the police.
Following the incident, residents went to Sitaramdera police station, surrounding it and demanding action against Kamlesh, causing a commotion that lasted till late night.

Braj Kishore, alias Bunty Singh, lodged a complaint at the police station, alleging that Kamlesh Sahu was drunk and used abusive language when he came to his house. He claimed Kamlesh misbehaved with women and fell several times due to his inebriated state. Kishore also accused Kamlesh’s companion, Durga Yadav, and others of throwing stones, injuring Mayur Mukhi, alias Munna, and tearing women’s clothes.

Kishore has demanded legal action against Kamlesh Sahu, Durga Yadav, Abhijeet Paigra, and others, claiming threats to his life and property from them.

He stated that if any harm befell him, Kamlesh Sahu and his companions would be held responsible.
