Chaibasa, Nov.19 : West Singhbhum Congress party commemorated 100th birth anniversary of first women Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Congress Bhavan on Saturday, November 19.
Thereafter the congress activists highlighted the credibility and personality of Indira Gandhi’s indelible impact on the progress of India.
The President of the district congress, Sunny Sinku added that it was Indira Gandhi who began the work of women empowerment in India.
She introduced many schemes for the poor and underprivileged villagers. Present at the event was Radha Mohan Banerjee, Budhram Laguri, Krishanu Roy, Chotta Purty, Goutam Hui, Bulu Das and a large number of party activists.
