Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee (JSYCC) secretary Rakesh Sahu and other party members paid tributes to late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 101st birth anniversary at Chandi Nagar in Sakchi.
Rakesh Sahu, Ajay Singh, Sitaram Chaudhary, YC west Vidhan Sabha vice president Arun Mukhi, Mukesh Yadav, Kamlesh Yadav, Sanjay Shah, Bindiya Mukhi and other speakers eulogized the charismatic personality of Indira Gandhi.
They said that the first woman Prime Minister of India gave her life in her determination to ensure the unity, indivisibility and integrity of the country. Sahu stressed that Indira Gandhi practiced four basic norms to guide the nation and set the norms for the world to see and practice.
He said, “Indira Gandhi’s four basic principles of far-sightedness, conviction of intent, hard work and discipline are relevant even today. Her contribution and dedicated efforts ensured that India stood amid the ranks of developing countries for which she has been immortalized.”
Other speakers on the occasion stated that the world saw her as the image of women’s power and leadership and she provided the guiding light to many nations.
In celebration of Indira Gandhi’s 101st birth anniversary, the proceedings commenced with floral offerings at the portrait of the late Prime Minister.
