Jamshedpur: On the occasion of ‘World Mental Health Week’, Tata Main Hospital (TMH) organised the 13th Annual Conference of Indian Psychiatric Society of Jharkhand State Branch (JASCON 2014) yesterday in TMH.
According to World Health Organization, October 10 is observed as ‘World Mental Health Day’. The theme for this year is ‘Living with schizophrenia’.
In line with this theme, Indian Psychiatric Society Jharkhand state branch organized the Annual Conference on ‘Unraveling the Complexities of Schizophrenia’. The conference focused on the current challenges and the new trends in the treatment of schizophrenia.
More than 120 delegates from all over Jharkhand participated in the conference. Chief Guest for the event, Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel emphasized the importance of mental health and remarked that such activities should take place regularly for academic enrichment.
To commemorate the event, a souvenir was jointly released by Sunil Bhaskaran, members of the Indian Psychiatric Society state branch and the organizing committee.
