India, South Africa teams arrive in Ranchi, ticket sales commence

Ranchi, Oct 15: Team India and South African cricket team arrived in Ranchi ahead of their third test match on October 15 afternoon. The third test match will be played from October 19 at Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium in Ranchi. Cricket fans in large numbers were waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.�

People were excited and cheering the cricketers. Security measures were in place at the airport so that the players can be easily escorted to the team bus. The fans were a little disappointed as their favourite Rohit Sharma and Indian captain Virat Kohli didn�t arrive on Tuesday. According to sources both the batsman are slated to reach the Jharkhand capital by Wednesday or Thursday. From the airport both the teams directly reached the hotel. Team India has been put up at Hotel Radisson Blu while South Africa is staying at Le Lac Sarovar Portico.

Crazy fans were also spotted outside the team hotel.� India is currently leading the 3 match test series with 2-0. The third test match begins on October 19. South Africa will practice on Wednesday while India will sweat it out on Thursday at the stadium.

The ticket sale also started on Tuesday morning at 9 am. Fans in large number flocked the four ticket counters set up at West Gate of the JSCA Stadium. The ticket price ranges from Rs 250 to Rs 2000 per day.

The commentary team comprising of Sunil Gavaskar, Shaun Pollock, Graeme Smith,  Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, VVS Laxman, Harsha Bhogle, Sanjay Manjrekar will arrive in Ranchi on 17 and 18 October. Sushil Doshi will do Hindi Radio commentary, informed JSCA vice-president Ajay Nath Shahdeo.
