Jamshedpur: APJ Abdul Kalam High School, Inter College, and Aman Welfare Society in Mango Kalikanagar are set to host a sports competition to celebrate Independence Day. The event will kick off with a flag hoisting ceremony followed by a quiz competition on the freedom struggle for children.
The festivities will continue with an inter-colony football tournament on August 16, and a chess competition for girls on August 17. Athletics events and races are scheduled for August 18, and a cross-country run will take place early on August 19. The sports activities will conclude with an inter-school tennis ball cricket competition at the Church Ground on August 20.
Organizing committee president Dr. Afroz Shakeel and Mohd. Tahir Hussain announced that this seven-day sports event has been a tradition for the past decade. All participating children will receive rewards, and schools across the Mango area have been invited to join this free competition. The event is supported by organization members Rafat Ara and Raza Ahmed, with notable attendees including Sania, Farhat, Rizwan, and Salim.
