Ranchi: Income Tax sleuths continued raids at the whereabouts of land dealers and engineers on Friday as a part of its drive against tax evasion.
The team of I-T sleuths confiscated property worth several crores, more than 100 bank account details and documents of movable and immovable property worth crores in the raids.
Cash worth several lakhs was seized during the raid. The team of I-T officials had started raids in Ranchi and Patna at nine locations yesterday, sources said.
Sources said the department officials had got a tip-off about several government officials having spent huge sums to stop their transfer. Now the department is probing into this information.
