Include Tusu fair in school textbooks: Bidyut Baran

Jamshedpur MP and convenor of Tusu Mela, Bidyut Baran Mahato termed Tusu festival as a unique identity and feature of Jharkhand. He said the state government should provide jaggery and oil at subsidized rate to every eligible beneficiary in the state so that all families may celebrate the festival. He said the government should also distribute traditional musical instruments in the villages to promote local culture. He further demanded that the state government should give a place to Tusu fair in the school textbooks. He said the government should make provision for a holiday on Tusu and organize the festival on a large scale.
