Incidents of murder and rape on the rise in Jamshedpur, 3591 criminals arrested

Jamshedpur:  Cases of murder and rape have increased in the city as compared to the last two years. Apart from this, if one looks at the statistics of the last 5 years, there has been an increase in the cases of rape. Apart from this, the police arrested Subhash Munda and Piyun Vihor alias Manik, carrying one-lakh award. At the same time, Naxali Sovan Mardi alias Suresh Murmu and Sukhmati Mel Melgandi alias Urmila surrendered in the court.

In the year 2020, a total of 3705 arrests, 3591 criminals were arrested, in 114 warrants, police arrested people. In the same year, the police arrested a total of 132 people in 61 cases of Arms Act and seized arms from Mango. During the raid on illegal liquor, the police recovered a total of 1259 liters of illicit liquor and 4319 kg of java mahua. At the same time, 62 Bhatti was also destroyed. Apart from this, the police arrested a total of 45 people with 271 kg of ganja and about 6 kg of brown sugar. The police also acted to rein in cyber crime. A total of 50 cases were registered in Jamshedpur’s cyber station, out of which 27 people were arrested and sent to jail, besides 432 items in which mobile, sim, laptop etc. were recovered. At the same time, a total of Rs 13 lakh was recovered.

Apart from this, a total of Rs 32,29,397 was refunded by the police. Talking about social media, the number of followers in the Twitter handle of the police has increased. As of now Jamshedpur Police has 16,500 followers. In the year 2020, a total of 970 complaints were filed through Twitter. A total of 600 complaints were received in Mahila police station made for women in Sakchi, out of which 370 were counseling and the case was registered, while 43 FIRs were registered. The police also did a commendable job in Kovid-19. During this time, about 4 lakh 61 thousand miles were distributed by the police. At the same time, police charged 6599 people for the violation of Covid-19.
