Jamshedpur: Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) Day was celebrated with fervour on Wednesday at The Milanee, Bistupur, under the aegis of Subhash Sanskriti Parishad and The Milanee.
The chief guest of the programme was Shekhar Dey, businessman and philanthropist. In his address, Dey said Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had sacrificed his life for the country.
He said the �Jai Hind� call given by Netaji later became a national slogan. Netaji was and will always remain the ideal of youths in India, he said.
Earlier, the guests of the programme garlanded a statue of Netaji and saluted it. Many other outfit members and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
They spoke on the life and contribution of Netaji to the freedom struggle.
