INA Day celebrated at The Milanee, Netaji remembered

Jamshedpur: Maintaining the two decade old tradition, Subhas Sanskriti Parishad, Jamshedpur Chapter, celebrated the Indian National Army (INA) (Azad Hind Fauj) Day in befitting manner.

The day was celebrated jointly with The Milanee on 21st October, in the club premises at Bistupur.

The function commenced with lighting of the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by the President of the Parishad, Dr. Ranjit Choudhury, Vice President Sekhar Dey, Chief Guest Bikash Mukerjee and Dipankar Dutta, secretary of The Milanee.

Sreeleathers proprietor Sekhar Dey, Bikash Mukerjee, Dipankar Dutta and Dr. Ranjit Choudhury paid homage to Netaji and his immortal solders reminding the audience eloquently the bravery, valour and supreme sacrifice of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the National Army in the bid to achieve independence.

Speakers deliberated in details how the INA was formed and how Netaji and the INA forced the British, in spite of being victorious in the Second World War to leave the country, and also how their struggle brought about a sense of national pride and dignity in the comity of nations.

They also dealt with the relevance of patriotism, nationalism and secularism of his brand in the present day situation in India.

Entire audience was inspired, charged and warmed up for patriotic songs of INA presented by Binoy Kalindi and his team.

At the conclusion of the programme, Surajit Chatterjee.proposed the vote of thanks and Bhaskar Mitra ably conducted the whole programme.
