Improvement in three months or I take transfer: MGM Superintendent

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, August 8:  A delegation of Samajik Seva Sangh (SSS) led by convener Rajesh Samant met Dr. Arun Kumar, Superintendent of MGM Hospital. The delegates apprised him about the problems being faced by patients from poor and BPL families due to the non-functional CT Machine in the hospital. Other discrepancies pointed out by the SSS delegation were most medicines had to be procured from outside, non-availability of doctors and nurses at critical times and prevailing unhygienic conditions leading to stench especially in the Emergency Ward.

After hearing out the complaints, Hospital Superintendant Dr Arun Kumar assured that he would try to improve the hospital’s functioning within three months. He said, “Either I will ensure improvement in the Hospital’s functioning within three months or I will seek a transfer elsewhere.” The other members of the SSS delegation included Mohan Bhagat, Bhupati Sardar, Rajkumar Mahto, Sonu Srivastava, Chhote Sardar, Mangal Sharma and others.
