Jamshedpur, June 15: To solve the deadlock at the Steel Strip Wheels Company, Labor Superintendent convened a meeting in the wake of a demand by BJP leader Dinesh Kumar and Bhojpuri Navchetna Manch’s Appu Tiwary on Wednesday. However, the tripartite talks failed once again, as no one from the management side turned up for the meeting.
Despite reminders, no one from the company end came for the meeting and the protestors along with the expelled workers soon after launched protest before the labor office and shouted slogans against the company management.
Later, talking to the media, Dinesh Kumar said, BJP leaders came for the meeting on time but the company officials were not in attendance which made the meeting unsuccessful. “We want to settle down the matter with peace but this is the third meeting which was not attended by the company officials and have forced us to launch massive protest,” said Kumar.
He added, “Soon a meeting will be held and we will chalk out strategy on the lockout of the company gate.” Speaking on the occasion Appu Tiwary said, the accused have still not been arrested and the investigation team formed by the SDO has still not submitted the report.
He further said that wrong strategy of the company management and administration has gripped the workers with fear and hunger, which is showing on them. Although several memoranda have been submitted on the issue, the senior officials have not bothered to respond or attend the meet, which shows they are guilty.
Present at the labor department were Probir Chatterjee Rana, Bunty Agarwal, Ankit Anand, Amarjeet SIngh Raja, Rajeev Pandey, Vishu SIngh and others.
