IMD predicts rainfall in Jamshedpur till Oct 20

Jamshedpur, Oct 17: It has been raining intermittently since Sunday morning in Jamshedpur city. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, it will remain cloudy with intermittent rainfall upto Wednesday, October 20 with the weather clearing from Thursday, October 21. The IMD report further stated that there were possibilities of heavy showers on Monday. The city experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday and Sunday evening.

According to the weather forecast, a low pressure cyclonic circulation over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh has been persistent which may lead to heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and the effects will be seen in Jharkhand also. There is a possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm in Ranchi, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Gumla, East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Pakur and Sahebganj.

IMD has issued a yellow alert in Jharkhand. These weather conditions will prevail in Jharkhand till October 20.
