Jamshedpur: The electoral battle for the 2025–27 term of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Jamshedpur branch, has officially begun following the formal notification by the Election Commission. Election Timeline
The election roadmap follows a strictly transparent timeline. The nomination process is set to open on January 24 and will remain active until 8:00 PM on February 1. Candidates wishing to withdraw their names may do so between February 2 and February 5, after which the final list of valid contenders will be published on February 6. On the day of the election, polling will be held from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In an effort to maintain momentum, the counting of votes will begin shortly after at 6:00 PM, with the final results and winners expected to be announced by 9:30 PM that same night.
Five-Member Election Commission Formed
To oversee the integrity of the process, a specialized five-member Election Commission has been established, comprising senior medical professionals Dr. Umashankar Singh, Dr. R.N. Prasad, Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, and Dr. Manjula Srivastava.
