Jamshedpur : In protest against the rising cases of theft and burglary in the houses of doctors, a delegation of doctors went over to the office of senior superintendent of police, Amol V Homkar today.
Led by IMA secretary Mrityunjay Singh, the delegation demanded the senior SP for immediate detection of burglaries at the house of Amol Patra and Sunil Kumar and to take necessary measures for curbing the incidents of thefts and burglaries, especially at the doctors’ house.
In the memorandum, the delegation of the doctors gave district police super 48 hours ultimatum for detection of the twin theft cases at the houses of doctors- Patra and Kumar, failing which the delegation has threatened to call for a day’s strike in Jamshedpur.
Condemning the spurt of incidents, Indian Medical Association officials said that the regular theft is taking place since beginning of the year reflect the ineffectiveness of the police administration.
The IMA has demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the theft on the doctors and legal action against them in accordance with the law.
