Noamundi, May 19: Acting on tip off, a police team led by Jagnnathpur DSP Monoj Kumar Jhan raided a carpenter Upendra Kumar Sharma�s house at Gandhi Tola in Jagnnathpur on Thursday and seized illegal teak wood and various structures worth Rs. 20 lakh.
The police also uncovered an illegal saw machine in the house which was set up by the carpenter for cutting the timber.
At the time of the raid, the carpenter�s son Pankaj Sharma was working on the machine. DSP has seized the saw machine and registered a case was against Upendra Kumar Sharma.
