Seraikela: Illegal mining of stones and sand is on in Seraikela and Chandil these days. Local administration has failed to take action against the culprits.
Several local people are engaged in illegal mining in the various parts of the district under the very nose of the district administration.
As a result, the activities continue unabated. Several local companies are reportedly using up the illegally supplied stones and sand, sources said. Police officials are yet to take action against the culprits.
