Jamshedpur, Feb 25: A team of Excise officials raided an illegally running mini liquor factory in Kowali here on Saturday. They seized illicit liquor worth Rs 5 lakh along with raw materials used in preparing spurious liquor.
Sources said the raid was carried out in Neemtand village. According to AK Singh, an Excise official, “We had got a tip-off about several people manufacturing spurious liquor in the village. The liquor was being prepared for sale during Holi. A team raided the mini factory and confiscated hooch and other raw materials. This case would be handed over to CID so that those involved in the crime may be exposed.”
