Jamshedpur: The key institutes in the country, namely, The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Jamshedpur chapter, Tata Steel Limited and CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML) have been playing a leading role to enable the youth of the nation to imbibe scientific temperament, creative and innovative mind-set by promoting various students activities in the area of metallurgical engineering.
The Students’ Seminar named ‘Behind The Teacher’s Desk’ (BTTD) aims to achieve this goal and showcase the importance of metals, minerals and materials in today’s industry.
The seminar is the right forum for promising and aspiring metallurgists. It will provide a real platform for discussion and exchange of ideas amongst the participants as well as help them get a deeper insight from the industry/academic leaders. Dr Shrikant, Director, National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
