Jamshedpur, March 22: On the second day of the Basanti Navratr on Sunday, March 22 which is also celebrated as World Water Day, International Human Rights Association (IHRA) women wing orgainsed Mata Rani Jagran at its office situated at Kalimati Road in Sakchi.
On the occasion hundreds of women headed by National General Secretary of IHRA worshiped Maa Durga and vowed to help conserve water. Usha Singh said we as individuals should understand that every drop of water in valuable and we should collectively help in conservation of the resource.
At the religious programme local artist Rohit & Mandali presented bhajans which made the devotees enthrall.
At the event District President of IHRA Women wing Chandana Chatterjee, former district president Sushmita Sarkar, Prabha Tiwary, Flora Gill, Sanju Kalindi, Shalu, Nishant, Shashi, Rashmi, Sobha, Dharmpal, Ramavati, Shanti Kalindi, Malti Tiwary, Guruwari, Alisha Tirkey, Uma Koda, Harjeet Kaur, Geeta Alda, Surjeet Kaur and others participated.
Later Prasad was distributed among the devotees while the Jagran event which started at 2 pm continued till 8 in the evening.
