IHRA demands removal of name plates from political leaders� cars

Jamshedpur, Feb. 3: International Human Rights Association (IHRA) on Wednesday demanded that the district police remove all boards and name plates put illegally from all private vehicles belonging to representatives of social organizations, political leaders and police officials at the earliest.

A delegation of IHRA headed by Ashutosh Kumar, district president of IHRA, submitted a memorandum to deputy Commissioner, district transport officer and DSP (Traffic) saying that IHRA members will be forced to launch protest on the city roads if no action was taken within a week.

According to the memorandum submitted, DTO Sanjay Kujar removed the board from IHRA national general secretary Usha Singh�s car on the orders of deputy commissioner Dr. Amitabh Kaushal on Republic Day on January 26.

The move was welcomed by IHRA and demanded removal of boards from political party leader�s private car according to law.

At the event Sudhir Singh, Chandana Chatterjee, Prabha Tiwary, Shivkumar Singh, Tatendra Kumar, Manvir Singh, RP Singh, Devanand Singh, Amarjeet Kaur, Harjeet Sahni, Paramjeet Kaur, Alisha, Uma, Shalu, Surjeet Kaur, Shivraj Samant and others were present.
