Jamtara, Oct 27: BJP candidate Sita Soren expressed deep emotional distress during a press conference, alleging that MLA Irfan Ansari has made multiple derogatory comments about her. With tears in her eyes, she stated, “If my husband were alive, no one would have dared to do this.”

Sita accused Irfan Ansari of making absurd remarks about her origins, questioning her presence in Jharkhand. She countered, asking, “Where did Sonia Gandhi, the Congress leader who supports him, come from?”

She claimed that immediately following her nomination, Irfan had crossed all boundaries by using indecent language, which has outraged tribal women in the region. “He always insults women,” Sita lamented, adding that the comments have deeply hurt her and her community.

Referring to her family legacy, she asserted, “My father-in-law, Shibu Soren, and my husband both started the movement from Jamtara. This is where Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar.” Sita emphasized that Irfan’s actions will not go unpunished, stating, “The women of our community will not forgive him and will not allow him to enter the village.”

Sita further accused Irfan of inciting protests against her, claiming that a case has been filed against him in response to his comments. She also alleged that he is now attempting to manipulate public perception by claiming his statements have been edited.

Sita criticized the INDI Alliance for appointing ministers like Irfan Ansari and called for accountability in their conduct. “On the coming 20th, the people of Jamtara assembly will unanimously vote for BJP, sending you back to Madhupur,” she concluded, rallying support for her campaign.
