Jamshedpur, Nov. 7: JUSCO has once again been awarded at the Innovation with Impact Award 2015 for Power Distribution Management Category. The award was presented by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) at a function in New Delhi on November 5 during the �9th India Energy Summit� organized by the chamber.
Mr. Ashish Mathur along with Mr. Manmohan Singh, MD and DGM (Town Electrical), JUSCO, respectively received the award jointly from Mr. Major Singh, chairperson, Central Electricity Authority, Ministry of Power, Government of India. It is worth noting that JUSCO has won this award for three consecutive years.
The award has been primarily introduced in order to acknowledge and reward the power distribution companies that have taken new and positive steps to increase its system efficiency and manage the supply-demand situation more effectively.
In turn these awards provide a platform to highlight leading examples of innovative and sustainable practices and performance to inspire and motivate others to adopt similar policies and practices and transparently communicate on their performance.
During the closing session of the award function, a penal discussion was organized with private Discoms on the topic �The Dicsom Dilemma: Prognosis Vs Reality.� Mr. Manmohan Singh from JUSCO was one of the panelists along with other major players in the power sector like Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd, IPCL, BSES Yamuna Power Ltd, CESC Ltd.
