ICAI Jamshedpur webinar on GST Audit and Annual Returns

Jamshedpur, July 18: The Jamshedpur unit of institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) today organized a webinar on GST Audit and Annual Returns. The session was chaired by Pratik Kumar Agrawal of the Jamshedpur branch of ICAI.

The keynote speaker was Gaziabad CA Mohit Golchha. He explained the relevance of the terms True and Correct versus True and Impartial. In his address, citing examples Golchha stated that the mistakes for the financial year returns of 2017-�18 that were adjusted in the FY 2018-�19 and the mistakes therein were again adjusted in the returns of FY 2019-�20. He explained the process of adjustment for the returns for the FY 2018-�19. He stressed that the mistakes emerging in the monthly returns should be adjusted as that was the last chance for rectification prior to submission of the annual returns.

The webinar was moderated by branch secretary Sugam Saraiwala. The welcome address was presented by branch chairman Sanjay Goyal while the vote of thanks was offered by Yogesh Sharma. More than 200 members shared the knowledge via the webinar.
