The campaign was officially launched at an event held at the Loyola School Auditorium, where District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Rishabh Garg, and several other officials were present.
The primary objectives of the #IamVerifiedVoter campaign were outlined by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal during the inaugural program. Mittal engaged with attendees, emphasizing the importance of voter registration and the voting process. Mittal posed questions to the audience, seeking their understanding of the prerequisites for voting and the documents required for the same. In response, Mittal clarified the essential steps for participating in the voting process, highlighting the necessity of registering names in the voter list.

Mittal provided detailed information on the documents accepted as valid proof of identity for voting. In addition to the Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC), alternative documents such as Aadhar Card, MNREGA Job Card, Bank or Post Office Passbook with a photo, Health Insurance Smart Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Pension document with a photograph, Service ID card, and other relevant identification cards were listed as acceptable proofs.

Mittal also highlighted the availability of the VoterHelp Line App, the toll-free number 1950, and the NVSP portal created by the Election Commission to facilitate voter convenience.
Mittal stressed the ongoing effort required from both individuals and communities to increase the voter turnout, particularly in urban areas. The District Election Officer called for collective efforts to ensure the active participation of every eligible citizen in the electoral process.
The program included the administration of the voters’ oath by the District Election Officer, encouraging attendees, their families, and relatives to participate in upcoming elections. Form 8, facilitating a change of residence, was distributed among senior officers and attendees, allowing them to complete the form on the spot for seamless electoral participation.
