Jamshedpur, Feb 25: Additional district and session judge, Ghatshila court, sentenced Sanjay Pal, an accused of dowry torture, to one and half year of jail term on Thursday.
The accused husband had a case lodged against in Moubhandar thana on September 22, 2009 by his wife for dowry torture after which he was arrested and sent to jail.
However, he had obtained bail from Jharkhand High Court.
Sanjay Pal had married in the year 2007 with a Kadma resident Rupa Pal however few months after marriage he used to torture wife for more dowry of Rs 3.5 lakh.
