Huge cache of explosives recovered in Jharkhand’s Giridih, Naxalites major strategy foiled 

Giridih, February 19: Giridih forest police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have recovered a huge cache of explosives.

It is suspected that the Naxalites were preparing to carry out a major incident. The police and security forces have foiled their plans.

A large quantity of explosives including gelatin have been recovered from the forest. This includes cordex wire, gelatin, gun powder, detonators etc.

However, before the security forces who had gone to take major action against the Naxalites could enter the village, the Naxalite squad fled from there taking cover of the villagers.

The CRPF and the district police were jointly conducting a search operation against the Naxalites. Meanwhile, the security forces found gelatin and other explosives from the forest near Garidih and Marmi villages of Khukhara police station area of Giridih district. The security forces believe that the Naxalites had hidden these explosives here.

It was also reported that the squad of Pawan Langra and Sahebram Manjhi is active in the area. Based on this information, the district police and CRPF jointly took this action.

In fact, the senior officer of CRPF had received information that the Naxalites are preparing to execute a big plan near Garidih and Marmi. A squad of Naxalites has gathered in this area. Based on this information, on the instructions of the SP of Giridih, the CRPF and district police personnel jointly started the operation.

On Wednesday morning, the soldiers surrounded the entire village. As soon as the police reached near Garidih, the Naxalites got the hint of the arrival of the security forces. All the Naxalites fled from there taking cover of the villagers. When the police entered the village, the villagers told that they got the news of the arrival of the security forces. That is why everyone fled.

After this, the police and CRPF personnel started a search operation in the surrounding area. Security forces searching the forest in search of Naxalites found a huge amount of explosives including gelatin from a Naxalite hideout in a nearby forest.
