Jamshedpur, Feb 11: Hudco and Domuhani recorded convincing victories in the Media Cup cricket tournament played at Keenan Stadium on Wednesday.
In the first match, Hudco defeated Swarnarekha by 58 runs. After winning the toss, Swarnarekha opted to bowl. Hudco posted a strong total of 152 for 4 in 15 overs. Prasenjit Singh starred with a blistering 52 off 19 balls, hitting four fours and four sixes, while Radhavendra added 47 runs. For Swarnarekha, Naveen took three wickets for 25 runs.
Chasing 153, Swarnarekha struggled against disciplined bowling and managed only 94 for 8 in 15 overs. Shamsher scored 26 runs. Prasenjit impressed with the ball as well, taking 2 for 12 in three overs. He was named Man of the Match by Rajesh Rajan, Head of Corporate Communications, Tata Steel.
In the second match, Domuhani outplayed Dalma XI by 9 wickets. Dalma XI, batting first, scored 84 for 7 in 15 overs. Buland made 18 runs, while Rajan added 12. Kunal and Anand Kumar took two wickets each.
Domuhani chased down the target comfortably, scoring 87 for 1 in 8.4 overs. Shubhadarshi scored 30 off 13 balls, while Anand remained unbeaten on 35. Anand was awarded Man of the Match by District Sports Officer Rupa Rani Tirkey.
