HR Leader Bhavuk Gupta from Jamshedpur Debuts with Innovative Fantasy Puzzle Book

Jamshedpur: Blending imagination with intellectual challenge, Jamshedpur-based HR leader Bhavuk Gupta has made an impressive literary debut with his book, Nautica: The Sapphire Cube, which is receiving widespread appreciation for introducing a unique storytelling concept aimed at young readers.

The book pioneers ‘PuzzTales’, a first-of-its-kind literary genre that combines fantasy fiction with logic-based puzzles to create an interactive and engaging reading experience. Designed for readers aged seven years and above, Nautica: The Sapphire Cube follows the adventures of young Tiara and her loyal companion Teksh as they embark on a mission to save their magical world by solving eleven progressively challenging puzzles.

While set in a magical universe, the story quietly carries the soul of Jamshedpur. Many of its landscapes, emotions, values and subtle details are woven from the city’s essence, offering readers familiar with Jamshedpur a delightful opportunity to discover hidden inspirations throughout the adventure.

Unlike conventional puzzle books, every puzzle in the story directly influences the narrative, encouraging readers to participate actively in the adventure by solving problems alongside the characters. The innovative format transforms readers from passive observers into active participants, making learning both enjoyable and immersive.

Through entertainment rather than formal instruction, the book seeks to strengthen logical reasoning, critical thinking, pattern recognition, strategic decision-making and problem-solving abilities among children and young adults. The introduction of PuzzTales marks a fresh approach to children’s literature, redefining storytelling by seamlessly integrating intellectual challenges into the narrative.

Bhavuk Gupta brings over 16 years of experience in human resources leadership, organisational development and workforce transformation. He currently heads Talent Management and Employee Relations and is also a Certified Independent Director with expertise in corporate governance, leadership and people strategy.

An alumnus of the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, Bhavuk has been recognised among the HR40Under40 for his contributions to the human resources profession. Though born in New Delhi, he has long been associated with Jamshedpur, where he has built his professional journey and drawn inspiration from the city’s culture, people and spirit of innovation.

A lifelong enthusiast of logic puzzles and strategic thinking, Bhavuk has spent decades exploring logical reasoning, game theory and problem-solving. Inspired by his belief that logical thinking is one of the most valuable life skills children can develop, he has channelled his professional experience into creating stories that foster curiosity, resilience and analytical thinking.

Nautica: The Sapphire Cube, now available on Amazon, is his first published work and marks the beginning of a larger vision to make logical thinking an exciting adventure for young readers. With its distinctive blend of fantasy, puzzles and storytelling inspired by the essence of Jamshedpur, the book has already begun attracting praise for its originality and educational value.
