Ranchi, Feb. 28: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Housing policy will be made in the next 30 days.
All suggestions are given due attention on how to provide houses to the slum dwellers. Addressing the apartment-builders he said that houses should be made for maids and drivers also. He said it while addressing people on Houses for All program conducted at Hotel Chanakya BNR.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister wants to provide houses to all by 2022. The villages should be developed to minimize the loads on the cities.
Baba Saheb Bhim Rao scheme has been made for the extremely backward classes under which 1 lac houses will be built. People who do not get houses under Indira Awas Yojana will get under this scheme.
The CM said that the govt. is serious about the problems of the builders. But the builders should provide houses to poor people on low prices under CSR. He directed the Urban Development Department to develop a single window clearance system to simplify the process.
Das said that the suggestions of the people will be evaluated. The suggestion on CNT will be discussed in TAC. A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Mr. Nilkanth Singh Munda.
Principal Secretary to the CM Mr. Sanjay Kumar said that the real estate should change their views and focus on minimizing the cost of construction.
