Hosts KSMS win English fest, Loyola end runners-up


Jamshedpur, Dec 11: It was a wonderful platform provided to the students from various schools of Steel City and they seemed excited to be part of a fest that not only aimed at motivating students with amazing potential and an innate ability to be different ,but also strived at inculcating the right spirit of competition amongst them.

Winning or losing is a part of any game, but it is very important to teach the youth of today to accept victory with humility and defeat with grace. Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) played host to 11 schools of Jamshedpur at ‘Transcendence’ – An English fest with a difference.

The English Fest covered a wide range of events both on stage and off stage to cater to the diverse interests of larger group of enthusiasts under one roof.

On stage events included Zip your lip, Guru war & Ages on Ramp, Step into their shoes, Talent mashup, Brain teaser, Gift of the gab Talk shop while at the off stage events students showed their hidden talent at Rhyme your thoughts, Unveil the theme, Word OMania, & Hunt high & low.

The whole atmosphere was colorful as each event was cheered up by the audience which included mostly the students from KSMS and other schools. The audience was also entertained with a foot tapping number by the students of the host school.

The other events, both off stage and onstage too saw a good response. The fest managed to create the right ambience that added colour, spirit and gave a creative stroke to most of the events.

Chief guest for the occasion was Sharad Sharin (Professor- XLRI). Earlier the opening ceremony took off on an auspicious note with the chief guest lighting the ceremonial lamp and the children singing a prayer song seeking the blessings of the almighty.
