Hosts Carmel Junior lead after round 4 at Inter School Team Chess Tournament

Jamshedpur, April 11: Ishan Gupta of Carmel Junior College scored 4/4 in the individual round of senior category in board no.1 while board no.2 Ronit Roy also of Carmel scored 4/4 to keep their team in lead after round 4 of the Inter School Team Chess Tournament which kicked off the Carmel School. In board no. 3 Shubang Verma of J.H Tarapore scored 4/4, Akhil Singhania of St. Mary’s English School scored 3.5/4.

In Junior Category individual performance Ansul Nigam of Loyola School scored 4/4 in board no. 1 while board no. 2 Kumar Utkarsh of Rajendra Vidyalaya, Archit Mukherjee of KPS, Kadma and Sonam Kumari of MNPS. They all scored 3.5/4 each. In the board no. 3 Arin Agarwal of DBMS and Anmol Kumar of Rajendra Vidyalaya they both scored 4/4.In board no.4 Ashrika Prakash of J.H Tarapore also scored 4/4.

Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by Suresh Sonthalia, President, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of special guest Pritam Singh, Secretary, All Jharkhand Chess Association, Sister M. Sylvie A.C. Principal, Sister Steffi A.C. vice Principal and Sister Eulalia A.C. Manager of Carmel Junior College.
