Host of events mark Independence Day at DAV NIT

Jamshedpur, August 16: DAV Public School, NIT Campus in Adityapur celebrated 69th Independence Day with much pomp and spendor, amidst patriotic feelings.

The celebration began with the furling of national flag by the chief guest B.S. Choudhury, officiate head followed by the national anthem, patriotic song. The school choir and the heartfelt speeches by Ankita das of class 11, Shambhavi of class 10 and Abhishek Anand of class 10 made the audience spell bound.

A march past by the NCC cadets and the students led by their house captains recaptured the supreme spirit of independence of our martyrs and freedom fighters.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest B.S. Choudhary highlighted the importance of punctuality, moral values, propitiating eating inhabits and use of computer at home under strict guidance of parents.

Earlier a yoga demonstration besides two group dance performances by the junior and senior students for the school drew every one’s attention to the gathering.

Mrs. Rekha Prasad, CCA in-charge gave the vote of thanks.
