Jamshedpur, May 28: Horticultural Society Jamshedpur organized the 3rd Bonsai Fiesta on Saturday, May 28 at the SNTI in Bistupur.
This bonsai workshop has been one of the most awaited and important events of the Horticultural Society Jamshedpur which attracts huge participation from all over the city.
Ranjana Mishra, DDC, Jamshedpur, has graced the occasion as chief guest of the inaugural function, while Ruchi Narendran, chairperson, Horticultural Society Jamshedpur, was present as guest of honor.
Shankar Chanda, member, World Bonsai Federation, was the faculty for the above said workshop. He is a national and international award winner on bonsai and hails from Ranchi.
The first session of the workshop was conducted in the first half in which near about 55 individual (hobbyist) participants, including Ruchi Narendran, Archana Gupta, Madhulika Sharma and Dr. Manju Dubey participated.
The second session of the workshop was conducted in the second half in which about 35 participants (trainees, corporate, institutions and members) participated.
Corporate Houses like as Tata Steel Limited, JUSCO, TCIL and TRF actively participated in the workshop. There was a special display arena for different types of bonsai. There was a stall in which organically raised seedlings were kept for sale along with the garden tools and equipments. �
Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, president, Horticultural Society, Jamshedpur, Baren Kumar Miaty, secretary, Horticultural Society, Jamshedpur, and Madhulika Sharma, life member, Horticultural Society, Jamshedpur, were also present on the dais.
