Jamshedpur: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) hosted the ASISC Inter School Zonal Declamation Contest 2018 (Junior and Senior Level) in the school auditorium on Thursday.
The Principal of the school, Paramita Roy Chaudhury welcomed the participating schools for the competition.
23 leading schools of Jamshedpur participated in the contest. The participants presented speeches of famous personalities. Each participant was allowed 4 minutes for the presentation. The judges were impressed by the speaking skills of the budding talents.
The judges were Jhumjhumi Nandi (Principal, Jusco School, Kadma), Ritu Parna Banerjee (Senior English Teacher, Jusco School, South Park) and Antony G. Castleton (Dean, Xaviers College, Gamharia). The Declamation Contest came to an end with the declaration of the results.
Vatsala Choubey of Hill Top School was crowned the winner in the senior category followed by Ayushi Marwah of Sacred heart Convent School and Priyanshu Shikha of Kerala Samajam Model School.
In the junior category Vanshita Saavarna of Sacred Heart Convent School bagged the first prize, Delzeen H Dumasia of Tarapore School Agrico was second and Maanas Kauntia of Loyola School won the third prize.
