Jamshedpur, June 22: The CISCE Zonal Basketball Selection Trial 2024 concluded successfully after three days of intense competition, hosted by Hill Top School. Over 300 participants from 21 schools showcased their skills in this prestigious event. The selection trials were conducted for three age categories over three days: U14 Boys & Girls on June 20, U17 Boys & Girls on June 21, and U19 Boys & Girls on June 22. Selectors Yogesh Kumar Pandey from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Sajjad Khan from St. Mary’s English School, along with referees Ramesh Kumar Das and Harish Ram from Jharkhand Basketball Academy, oversaw the trials.

The participating schools included Andhra Association English School, Carmel Junior College, Church School Beldih, D.B.M.S. English School, Dayanand Public School, DSM School For Excellence, Gulmohur High School, Hill Top School, J.H. Tarapore School, Kerala Public School Kadma, Kerala Public School Mango, Kerala Samajam Model School, Little Flower School, Loyola School, Narbheram Hansraj English School, Ramakrishna Mission English School Sidhgora, RMS High School, S S Academy, Sacred Heart Convent School, St. John’s High School, and Tarapore School Agrico.
Following the trials, 12 players and 3 stand-by players from each category have been selected to advance to the CISCE Regional Basketball Selection Trial 2024.
