Shibu Soren address party workers
Jamshedpur : On the first day of his must publicised ‘Jharkhand Sangarsh Yatra’, senior JMM leader and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that all schemes launched by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre has failed miserably in Jharkhand.
Moreover, these schemes were anti-tribal and the people have been deprived of their rights. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will reach out to the people through Jharkhand SangarshYatra and will try to educate the common people.
Soren was addressing a gathering atUliyan in Kadma before the flagging off of the party’s Jharkhand SangarshYatra in Kolhan.
With an eye to mobilize voters before 2019 elections, the JMM organised the rally which began at 10 am . JMM supremoShibu Soren, party’s vice-president and Seraikela MLA Champai Soren, Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi and several senior party functionaries were also present. Over 10,000 party activists attended the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Shibu Soren said the BJP-led government whether at the Centre or in the state was working in the interest of business houses and this government has no sympathy for the poor and downtrodden.
“We are here to tell people that during the Narendra Modi-led government poor people have become poorer and rich richer. Both the State and Central governments are working in the interest of capitalists. We have to prevent the BJP from returning to power at the Centre and in the state,” said the senior Soren.
The party’s vice president Champai Soren who also addressed the rally condemned the state government for the sorry state of health care and infrastructure.
“See the pitiable condition of roads and sorry state of the MGM Medical College and Hospital that witnessed several deaths of new-born babies last year due to various reasons including malnutrition, but Chief Minister Raghubar Das did not visit the hospital, ” said the JMM leader.
The public rally continued till 1 pm after which a bike rally led by Hemant Soren kicked off from Ulyan. Later, both Hemant Soren and Champai Soren rode pillion on the bikes followed by about 1000 bikers who were party supporters.
Wearing helmet, Hemant rode the bike himself uptoSakchi. The Baharagora MLA was also riding pillion in the rally which crossed through Sakchi, Bistupur and reached at Karandih in Parsudih where a meeting was held in the afternoon.
The SangarshYatra will conclude on October 2. Soren will tour eight assembly constituencies during his stay in the division. Under this, public meetings will be held in Jugsalai, Ghatshila, Potka, Saraikela, Kharsawan, Chaibasa, Majhgaon, Jagannathpur, Manoharpur and Chakradharpur.
On the second and third day of his visit Hemant will cover Seraikela, Kharswan and Chaibasa Assembly constituencies and on third he will visit Jagannathpur, Assembly. On the fifth and final day the JMM leader will visit Chakradharpur on October 2.
