Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has been designated as the main opposition party while Hemant Soren was accorded leader of the opposition post in the new assembly.
Announcing this the speake Dinesh Oraon said that the JMM cabinet committee had held a meeting on December 26, 2014 in which Hemant Soren was elected leader of the opposition, which was later intimated to him.
Oraon said that JMM is the biggest opposition party in the assembly and it fulfilled the condition of having of more than 10 percent of total numbers of members in the assembly.
It had paved the way for JMM becoming the main opposition party and Hemant Soren the leader of the opposition, he said.
