Helpline number for door-step delivery of medicines in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 2: East Singhbhum district administration has released a helpline number ( 9508280796) for door-step delivery of sanitisers, grocery and medicines for elderly and disabled in the city. The administration is already distributing free sanitisers for the poor across the district. The distribution will be carried by the police so that the people can safely receive their products. Any person in need can also dial 100 for  any type of emergency related to Covid 19.  

An official who is monitoring the distribution work in the district said that they have announced the helpline number in which elderly and disabled can Whatsapp or call to place orders of sanitisers, medicines  or grocery which would be delivered at their doorsteps .The Indian Red Cross Society, Jamshedpur chapter volunteers are assisting in distribution of sanitisers.

 �There might be people who are deprived of medicines and grocery due to lockdown. So the helpline is aimed at facilitating provision of sanitisers for senior citizens and disabled who face problems in moving out of their house. They can place their order along with their address either through whatsapp or on the mobile phone and their order would be delivered within 24 hours at their home. However, this facility would only be for disabled and senior citizens who face problems in movement and are alone.
