Ranchi: The central government has initiated measures to provide relief to HEC (Heavy Engineering Corporation) employees and officials. On Monday, BJP leader Vinay Jaiswal appealed to the Ministry of Heavy Industries (Government of India) and the senior management to grant a three-month salary considering major festivals like Diwali and Chhath. However, an agreement has been reached with the ministry and management for a two-month salary. It was confirmed that HEC employees and officials will receive two months’ worth of salary within the next two days.
Jaiswal stated that discussions were held regarding the smooth operation of HEC. There were also talks about expeditiously initiating Provident Fund (PF) and medical insurance. Additionally, it has been decided that a high-level meeting will take place next week to explore avenues for the brighter future of HEC. It’s worth noting that HEC employees are owed approximately 21 months’ worth of salary, leading to continuous protests and demonstrations.
