Heavyweight candidates of BJP and Congress filed their nominations

Jamshedpur : It was day of heavyweights candidates in Jamshedpur today. Candidates of BJP and Congress filed their nominations for different assembly segments at the district collectorate in Jamshedpur on Thursday.

BJP senior leader Saryu Roy was the first to file his nomination from Jamshedpur West (general) constituency.

The former Jamshedpur West MLA (won in 2005) along with Union Minister Of State For Social Justice And Empowerment Sudarshan Bhagat, Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahto, state BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale and district party president Nandji Prasad filed the nomination.

Former deputy Chief Minister and four times Jamshedpur East MLA Raghubar Das along with supporters reached to the district collectorate.

Raghubar, was then joined by union minister of state Sudershan Bhagat, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, district party president Nandji Prasad as he marched to SDO Dhalbhum office, at the district collectorate to file nomination from Jamshedpur East constituency.

Potka MLA Meneka Sardar (45) filed his nomination at 1 pm for the Potka reserved (ST) constituency at the district collectorate. She was joined by Jamshedpur MP, party district president Nandji Prasad and Raghubar Das.

Three time MLA from Jugsalai and Congress candidate Dulal Bhuiyan joined by Congress district president Bijay Khan, senior Intuc leader Rakeshwar Pandey reached the district collectorate and filed nomination from Jugsalai (SC) constituency.

Others parties who filed their nomination included Anand Behari Dubey from Congress for Jamshedpur East constituency and JVM Firoz Khan from Jamshedpur West constituency. A total of 23 candidates filed nomination from different assembly segments at district collectorate today.
