Jamshedpur, March 15: Meteorologist Dr. Abhishek Anand has issued a forecast for Jharkhand, including Kolhan, predicting significant weather changes over the next few days. While Friday saw sunny weather in Jamshedpur with a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, Ranchi recorded a high of 33 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain is expected in Jharkhand on March 16 and 17, followed by the likelihood of heavy rain from March 18 to 20. Districts such as East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, and Ramgarh have been alerted for possible rain and thunderstorms.
On March 20, areas including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahebganj, as well as several districts in southern and central Jharkhand, are expected to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Wind speeds during the rain are estimated to reach 30-40 kilometers per hour.
Despite the anticipated rainfall, the Meteorological Department predicts no significant change in temperatures over the next few days, with a rapid increase in maximum temperatures expected from March 18 onwards.
Residents have been advised to stay updated with weather forecasts and take necessary precautions during the expected heavy rain and thunderstorms.
